CABANATUAN CITY – A 19-year-old suspected rapist along with four other most wanted persons were arrested in intensified manhunt operations launched by the pólice in different parts of Nueva Ecija on Monday.
In Rizal, pólice led by Staff Sgt. Antonio Wagayen Jr. warrant officer collared Jaylord Cachuela, 19, dishwasher, of Bgy. Paco Roman St. inside a restaurant at 10:35 p.m.
The suspect is ranked second in the Lambat-Sibat Target Phase 1 of the pólice and was nabbed by virtue of an alias warrant of arrest for rape by sexual assault issued by Cabanatuan City regional trial court branch 26 judge Theresa O. Basilio with a recommended bail of P200,000.
In Cabanatuan City, two most wanted men identified as Jomar Leonardo, 22, of Bgy. Padre Crisostomo and Jayson Guinto, 43, of Purok Mulawin, Bgy. Lourdes were also nabbed by operatives of the warrant section upon orders from pólice chief Lt. Col. Ponciano P. Zafra.
Leonardo had an arrest warrant for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide issued by Judge Nelson V. Laygo of the Cabanatuan municipal trial court branch 3 while Guinto’s arrest was carried out by virtue of an arrest warrant for violation of Article 59 of P.D. 603 (The Child and Youth Welfare Code) also issued by Judge Laygo.
Judge Laygo recommended a bail of P30,000 for the temporary liberty of Leonardo while a bail of P6,000 was set for Guinto’s temporary release.
In Bgy. Tabuating, San Leonardo, pólice nabbed Jonathan Jimenez, 37, driver during manhunt operations conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. He had an arrest warrant for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property with a recommended bail of P3,000.
In Zaragosa, pólice led by pólice head Major Jaime Ferrer nabbed Bienvenido Castro Jr. 53, laborer, in Bgy. Concepcion on the strength of a warrant for violation of Republic Act 7610 with presiding judge Johnmuel Romano RD. Mendoza, of the RTC branch 26 recommending a bail of P120,000 for the suspect’s provisional liberty.
