PHILIPPINE National Police chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa yesterday ordered the conduct of summary dismissal proceedings against a 35-year old police captain who was said to be drunk when he figured in a rowdy act and caused trouble using his gun inside a resto-bar in Cagayan de Oro City early morning last Valentine’s Day.

“I want him immediately dismissed from the police service. There is no room for a policeman like him in our organization. In the first place, he violated President Duterte’s directive banning our presence in drinking establishments,” said the PNP chief in referring to Captain Calvin Placer Nario Jr.

Nario, assigned with the Police Regional Office 13, was accused of creating trouble while heavily-drunk inside the Jakkos Grill along Regatta Boulevard in Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City around 4 a.m. last Friday. The PNP chief ordered PRO13 director, Brigadier General Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. to institute the summary dismissal proceedings against the accused and to dismiss him immediately from the police service.
