SAN JOSE CITY – The City Assessor’s Office here has been placed under a two-week lockdown after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19, it was learned yesterday.
City Mayor Mario “Kokoy” Salvador said the CAO had already undergone disinfection and that their office will resume operations on Nov. 16.
The infected employee was described as Patient #59, female, 44, and a resident of Rufina 3 Subd., Bgy. Malasin. She tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct. 21 and is undergoing treatment for mild sysmptoms at the San Jose City General Hospital.
Another COVID-19 confirmed case, recorded as Patient #60, was alsl reported by the city health office.
The new infection is a 33-year-old government employee at the Army, based at the Camp Major General Romeo Gatan in Bgy. Sto. Niňo 2nd, this city.
As of the latest count, the number of COVID-19 cases in the city is listed at 60, with two new cases, six active and 49 recovered, and five deaths. STEVE A. GOSUICO.
