CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Debold Sinas spearheaded the distribution of 500 Galil Ace 5.56mm basic assault rifles at the Police Regional Office 3 camp here yesterday.

He also led the blessing of the PRO3 quarantine facilities and Public Information Office.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon said the additional rifles would boost and capacitate the firepower of mobile force personnel to assure the safety of the public against criminal elements and criminal terrorist groups.

PRO3’s viable and long-term container vans that were converted into quarantine facilities, an NCRPO inspired structure, is the immediate response of regional police to the call of Sinas to build quarantine and treatment facilities for police personnel which has the following purposes: Isolate, Recuperate and Rest.

Each container van is divided into two air-conditioned rooms which has a partition according to the standards set by the Department of Health with one hospital bed, a table with chair and own toilet. Free Wi-fi access is also provided within the quarantine sites to keep the patients occupied while recuperating — an ideal set-up for quarantine.

A total of 44 quarantine facilities is established inside this regional police camp.

I am happy that Brig. Gen. Val De Leon has already complied with these quarantine facilities that would cater to the needs of our uniformed and non-uniformed personnel,” Sinas said during the press conference.

A command conference presided by Sinas and attended by senior officials from Camp Crame, PRO3 Command Group and Staff and different provincial and city police directors followed after the press conference.
