Teacher arrested for selling shabu

POLICE on Tuesday arrested a 38-year-old public elementary school teacher in a buy-bust operation in Albay.

Suspect  Ramon Cerdeño Cuya, a resident of Bgy. Gaho, was arrested by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Tiwi Municipal Police Station and Malinao, Albay police led by Maj. Diome Cardano after he sold two medium plastic sachets of shabu worth P78,000 to a police poseur.

The buy-bust operation was conducted at Purok 1 in Bgy. Balza in Malinao after a series of surveillance.

The suspect was included in the provincial drug watchlist.

PDEA agents launched the anti-drug operation after receiving informations that Cuya was selling illegal drugs in several towns in Albay as his sideline.

Last week, a female teacher and her boyfriend was arrested for drug peddling in Naga City.
