A 15-year-old teenager in Cebu City who has been tagged as a ‘high-value target’ in Central Visayas has been taken into custody by the Cebu City Police Office after he yielded over P9.5 million worth of shabu on Monday afternoon, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas announced yesterday.
The male teenager, a resident of Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Calamba in Cebu City was arrested by the local police during a buy-bust operation in his neighborhood around 3:30 p.m. Monday, the official said.
Sinas said the suspect yielded a medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachet and the marked P500 bill during the entrapment operation.
When frisked, the suspect also yielded a bag found containing three more plastic packets containing around 1.4 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P9,520 million and a weighing scale.
Sinas said the teenager is still undergoing investigation as of press time. He will be facing charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, he said.
