GAPAN CITY -- Violence greeted residents on the third day of the New Year as a 43-year-old businessman was killed in cold-blood by two unidentified motorcycle-riding assassins who barged inside his store early morning yesterday and peppered him with bullets while he was sleeping.
City police head Supt. Criselda Y. De Guzman identified the slain trader as Christopher Manuzon, of Sampaguita St., Bgy. Malimba, this city.
She said the victim died instantly after being shot several times in different parts of the body by the unidentified suspects, who were described to be wearing helmets and black jacket.
After the killing which occurred at 1 a.m., De Guzman said the suspects immediately fled towards an unknown direction
She said they are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
