SAN JOSE CITY – A 26-year-old businessman on Sunday was shot dead while a feeds dealer was critically injured in separate gun attacks in this city and in San Leonardo town.
In this city, killed was Christian Dulay, single, of Zone 7, Sitio Riverside, Bgy. Abar 1st.
Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno, city police head, said the victim was cooking smoked fish when the two suspects barged into the house and one of them pulled out a gun and fired at the victim repeatedly.
After the attack that took place at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, the unidentified suspects fled while the victim was rushed to the Heart of Jesus Hospital in Bgy. Rafael Rueda Sr., where he was declared dead on arrival.
Bruno said they are looking into personal grudge as possible motive for the killing. He, however, did not elaborate.
Recovered at the crime scene were four empty shells for cal. 45 and three slugs.
In San Leonardo, critically wounded was feeds dealer Rolando Dayao, 33, of Bgy.Tambo-Adorable, according to town police head
Dayao was standing in front of his garage when shot by two armed men on a motorcycle at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday.
The victim was hit by a bullet on the nape and was rushed to the nearby Gonzales General Hospital.
