Wanted Parojinog man falls

A suspected member of the Parojinog gun-for-hire group who has been in hiding from the law since 2015 was captured by agents of the Philippine National Police Intelligence Group in a manhunt operation in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan yesterday morning, PNP-IG director, Brigadier General Edgar S. Monsalve said.

In a report to PNP chief, General Oscar D. Albayalde, the official identified the arrested suspect as Gregie Albor Azcona, a man who is the subject of a warrant of arrest for robbery and murder issued by the Ozamiz City Regional Trial Courts Branches 15 and 35 in 2015.

The murder case is in connection with the killing of a hardhitting radio broadcaster in Ozamiz City identified as Cosme Maestrado alias ‘Mr’ Ratsada’ in 2015.

According to Monsalve, members of the Regional Intelligence Unit 3 headed by Colonel Nestor Babagay tracked down the wanted murder and robbery suspect in his hiding place in Sitio San Martin in Barangay Dos Sapang Palay in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan around 9:18 a.m. yesterday.

Babagay’s men, acting on a tip from an informant and with the help of the Regional Intelligence Units 10 and National Capital Region and the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office and the San Jose del Monte City Police Station  arrested the suspect.
