A STILL unidentified gunman shot and killed a 33-year old construction worker in Pagadian City late night Saturday before fleeing, a Police Regional Office 9 report said yesterday.
The body of victim Caloy Miano, a resident of Purok Lansones in Barangay Tuburan was found sprawled beside the road in Purok Sweet Honey in Bgy. Sta. Maria around 10:27 p.m. Saturday, said PRO9 director, Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis D. Licup.
An initial investigation showed that local residents reported having heard two gunshots in the area before they discovered the body of the victim who suffered two bullet wounds in the body.
Responding policemen recovered two spent caliber .45 cartridges and two live .45 ammunition at the scene. Licup said that members of the Pagadian City Police Station are still investigating the motive and identity of the killer.
