December 17, 2018

JOINT police operatives on Sunday arrested a female drug pusher and seized P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City.

Nabbed was Marrisa Wee alias “ Indah” 32, married, a college graduate and a resident of Purok 11, Acasia Drive Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.

Wee was arrested by combined operatives of the Zamboanga City Police Station 11, Philippine Air Force and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 9 in a sting at Purok 11, Acasia Drive, Bgy. Upper Calarian at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

PRO9 director Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup said a member of the Zamboanga City police suffered a broken ankle and body injuries after being hit by a speeding SUV driven by Mayong Ilang Kamlon, Wee’s alleged cohort, who evaded arrest during the entrapment.

Licup said Wee sold shabu worth more than P1 million to a police poseur.

The official said that while Wee was being arrested, her alleged cohort Kamlon, who was driving an Isuzu Trooper without plate number, apparently panicked after noticing the presence of officers in the area and immediately made a u-turn.

Kamlon hit a motorcycle-riding policeman who tried to stop him.

The suspect also hit an Air Force vehicle and a motorcycle owned by Reynaldo Rebollos of Bgy. Upper Calarian.

Kamlon is being tracked down.

Seized from Wee were a large transparent self-sealing bag containing around a kilo of suspected shabu worth P6.8  million, 12 bundles of boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill, and a fragmentation grenade.

Wee is being held at the Zamboanga City Police Station 11 facing non-bailable charges for selling and possession of dangerous drugs and possession of explosives.
