PNP hoping Duterte will name new chief soon

OFFICERS and men of the 195,000-strong police force are hoping that President Duterte will name the replacement of resigned Philippine National Police chief General Oscar D. Albayalde very soon amid the Commander-in-Chief’s recent pronouncement that “honesty” is the only standard he will be looking for when he chooses his 3rd national police chief.

Anti-polio drive progress cited

THE Department of Health yesterday reported an average of 95.58 percent coverage of aged 0 to 59 months children who were vaccinated against polio in the October 14-27 round of Sabayang Patay-Kontra Polio in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in identified areas of Mindanao (Lanao del Sur, Marawi City, Davao del Sur, and Davao City).
