A CENTER island in the busy area of Moriones in Tondo, Manila which for the past years has been turned into a dirty dumping ground for trash including an unused container and a steamroller while doubling as a personal cock farm, a toilet and a squatters’ site, was ordered cleared yesterday by Isko Moreno.

A CHINESE-operated prostitution ring in Parañaque City was crushed by agents of the National Capital Region Police Office following a raid on Wednesday night which led in the arrest of at least 31 Chinamen and the rescue of 51 Chinese women believed to be engaged in the flesh trade, NCRPO director, Major General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Suspect Ramon Cerdeño Cuya, a resident of Bgy. Gaho, was arrested by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Tiwi Municipal Police Station and Malinao, Albay police led by Maj. Diome Cardano after he sold two medium plastic sachets of shabu worth P78,000 to a police poseur.
