Abu Sayyaf frees 9 ‘poor’ hostages

SUSPECTED Abu Sayyaf bandits on Friday evening freed unharmed nine nomadic fishermen including two teenagers they abducted in waters off Borneo island in Malaysia after realizing they were so poor they cannot pay them any ransom, officials said yesterday.
