NOLCOM conducts IEC for WPS to over 200 members of student organizations in Pampanga

The Northern Luzon Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines through the 1st Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Service, AFP in collaboration with Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 3 conducted an Information Education Campaign (IEC) for the West Philippine Sea (WPS) advocacy to over 200 student leaders of Mary the Queen College (MQC), Pampanga together with the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Region 3 and Police Regional Office Guagua, Pampanga during the Campus Peace and Development Forum initiated by the 5th Fighter Wing, PAF, Basa Air Base, Floridablanca and MQC on August 14, 2025.

During the activity, series of lectures were conducted with topics about Crime Prevention and Youth Involvement discussed by PCPT SIFREDO M PANOS; Teen Dating Abuse discussed by PCpl Sherlyn Caugiran; Executive Order No. 70 also known as the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) discussed by Jose Ferdinand Toledo, Acting Regional Director for Operations, NICA 3; Orientation on the Youth Students Recruitment of the Communist Terrorist Group discussed by Dada Cervantes, a Former Rebel; and the AFP Communication Plan MULAT discussed by the resource speaker from 1CRG, CRSAFP to educate the public, particularly the younger generation, about the truth behind the People’s Republic of China’s Illegal, Coercive, Aggressive and Deceptive Activities and draws attention to the fact that the Philippines’ territorial integrity, security, and sovereignty is under threat.

Throughout the course of the resource speakers’ lectures, student leaders of MQC from different organizations together with other school faculties engaged fully and strengthen their role as Filipinos in nation-building, peace, and development, and cultivated an appreciation for the nation’s sovereignty and territorial rights.

Through the distribution of flyers, a photo gallery display, and a video screening during lecture, the 1CRG, CRSAFP spearheaded the advocacy for the West Philippine Sea (WPS). Additionally, the attendees participated in the ‘Post It Support WPS!’ by writing on a Post-it note and then displaying it on the board to demonstrate their support for the WPS.

NOLCOM will continue its dedication and commitment in protecting the nation’s territory and sovereignty by disseminating accurate information and carrying out its mission as a Jointly-Engaged, Sustainment-Maintained, and Readiness-Trained Force in pursuit of lasting peace and progress.
