AFTER posting bail for his court case, notorious Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy ended up being returned to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) holding facility.
BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said that last June 11, Zdorovetskiy was turned over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s (BJMP) facility in Taguig for custody as he faces local cases, including unjust vexation, filed before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 153 in Taguig City.
However, the BI learned that Zdorovetskiy was able to post bail for the said RTC case, prompting his return to the BI wardens facility (BIWF) inside Camp Bagong Diwa.
Sandoval said that because he faces a deportation case, the Russian will still be returned to the custody of the BI and will not be allowed to roam around as he is already seen as an undesirable alien, even if he posts bail for his local cases.
While Zdorovetskiy has an ongoing deportation case, he will not be deported until his local cases are resolved and he serves the sentence given to him, if any, she added.
Meanwhile, until required to face court, Zdorovetskiy will remain in the BI’s facility.
