NPD most wanted falls in Muntinlupa

AFTER 10 years in hiding, authorities finally arrested the No. 1 Top Most Wanted Person of the Northern Police District (NPD) Tuesday evening in Muntinlupa City.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) lauded NPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan and personnel of the District Investigation and Detection Management (DIDM) for the arrest of Aries Gaton, 29, resident of Bryg. 176 Bagong Silang, Caloocan city inside his alleged lair in Katarungan Village, Muntinlupa city at around 10:40 p.m.

Sinas said the serving of the warrant of arrest against Gaton was the result of intelligence driven operation and with proper coordination and validation, operatives were able to locate his whereabouts.

Ylagan said his men successfully served the warrant of arrest issued by Caloocan Regional Trial Court (ETC) Judge Eleanor R. Kwong of Branch 128 for the crime of murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code dated December 30, 2010.

The arrested suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights. He is temporarily detained at the District Investigation and Detection Management (DIDM) Custodial Facility in Caloocan City for documentation prior to the return of warrant to the court of origin.

I would like to congratulate Team NCRPO for another job well done. The successful apprehension of NPD’s No. 1 Top Most Wanted Person is a positive indication that our operatives are tirelessly working hard in fulfilling our duty to maintain peace and order in the Metro,”Sinas said.
