Oil firms bare price increase

FOLLOWING a minimal rollback of pump prices last week, big and small oil companies implemented an increase of their petroleum products effective today, Tuesday.

Major oil firms Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell announced an increase of P.30 per liter of their diesel products, gasoline by P0.45 per liter and kerosene by P0.40 centavos per liter effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Another giant oil company, Chevron Philippines, also implemented the same price adjustments which took effect much earlier at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Thai-led PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Seaoil Philippines, Total Philippines, Eastern Petroleum and Unioil Philippines also implemented the same price increase of their diesel and kerosene products effective at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Energy source said the pump price increases reflect movements in the international oil market.
