THE Manila city government under the administration of Mayor Honey Lacuna held a ‘Local Recruitment Activity’ that offered jobs for unemployed residents.
Lacuna lauded the Public Employment Service Office – City of Manila headed by Fernan Bermejo for the said activity held on Wednesday (June 4) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Conducted at the PESO Annex oOffice at the Park N’ Ride Building in Lawton, Ermita, Manila, the said recruitment efforts provided at least 2,000 jobs for Manila residents.
“Ang inisyatibong ito ay ginawa upang mas mapadali ang pag-aapply ng kapwa nating Manileño na naghahanap ng trabaho,” the mayor said.
Meanwhile, the city government is also offering a free training on hair and makeup artistry.
Those interested may visit the MMDC Tayuman Training Center at the Old TESDA Building on Immaculada Street in Brgy. 232 Tayuman, Tondo, Manila (beside the Tayuman Police Station).
These, according to Lacuna, are part of the ongoing efforts of the local government to provide job opportunities for all residents of Manila who happen to be unemployed.
Bermejo said that the Lacuna administration also provides jobs for senior citizens and persons with disability, through partnerships with certain private establishments within the city of Manila.
