P.5M shabu from 2 Pasig pushers

MANDALUYONG police seized more than P.5 million worth of suspected shabu from two suspected drug pushers during a buy-bust in in front of a supermarket in Pasig City Sunday afternoon.

A report reaching Mandaluyong Police chief, Col. Hector Grajaldo identified the suspects as Rhina Rose Olarte, 27 and Jericson Laguna, 27.

The two were nabbed during a drug operation conducted by elements of the Mandaluyong Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in front of a supermarket located along Evangelista Stree corner F. Pasco Ave. in Bgy. Santolan, Pasig City at around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The operation was conducted based on the information that the two suspects were involved in illegal drug activities.

They were caught selling suspected shabu to a cop posed as buyer.

According to report, a total of 100 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P510 ,000 and weighing scale were recovered from the two suspects.

The suspects are detained at the Mandaluyong Police custodial facility and are facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
