P.6M illegal drugs seized in Caloocan, Navotas

NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief P/MGen. Debold Sinas lauded the separate buy-bust operations conducted by personnel of Northern Police District (NPD) and Navotas City police that resulted in the confiscation of more than P.6 million worth of shabu and high-grade marijuana leaves Thursday in Caloocan and Navotas Cities.

In his report to MGen. Sinas, NPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan said elements of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) led by P/Capt. Ramon Aquiatan, Jr. arrested Ordy Delos Santos, 21 of 635 5th Avenue, 2nd St. Brgy. 118 at around 7 p.m. after he sold P12,000.00 worth of shabu to police poseur-buyer along Julian Felipe St. Brgy. 8.

Earlier, Capt. Aquiatan received numerous complaints of parents and residents of Brgy 8, particularly those living along Julian Felipe St., against certain “Ordy” who was responsible for the proliferation of illegal drugs in the area prompting them to conduct buy-bust operation.

A total of 60 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P408,000.00, buy-bust money consisting of 11 pieces of boodle money and one P1,000 genuine bill and the Yamaha Mio motorcycle allegedly used by Delos Santos in his illegal activity were confiscated from the suspect.

Earlier at around 4:20 p.m., elements of Navotas Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Genere Sanchez arrested Abby Alvarez, 22, of Brgy. San Jose, Joshua Miguel Enriquez, 20, of Brgy. Tañong, Malabon City and Jan Frances Sanchez, 19 of Taganahan St. Brgy. BBS in a buy-bust operation along Radial 10 Road, Brgy. North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN).

Navotas police chief P/Col. Rolando Balasabas said operatives seized from the suspects three paper bags containing high-grade marijuana leaves weighing 1,900 grams with standard drug price worth P228,000.00 and the P500 marked money.

I commend the successful buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of NPD. This once again proved our commitment to free the Metro from illegal drugs to attain a safer Metro Manila for all,” MGen. Sinas said.
