P.6M shabu seized in QC buy busts

AUTHORITIES confiscated about P600,000 worth of suspected shabu from drug suspects in two separate buy -bust operations in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P. Macerin identified the suspects in the first operation as Kim Alforte, 47, Shelah Belaos, 41, Gem Mardon Dacasin, 26, Rey Alforte, 50, and Jhoanna David, 44, all residents of Bgy. Tandang Sora.

A report showed that operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Fairview Police Station (PS 5) received information about the alleged illegal drug activities of the suspects which was further validated by a series of intelligence gathering and surveillance operation.

A buy-bust was set at about 10 p.m. of January 12, 2021, on 21-C Alcantara St., Banlat Road, Bgy. Tandang Sora.

An undercover operative acted as a poseur buyer and bought P1,000 worth of shabu from the suspects which resulted in their arrest.

Aside from the buy-bust money, confiscated were more or less 85 grams of shabu amounting to P578,000 and a cellular phone.

Meanwhile, Narciso Gudasen, Jr., 35, Mandy Odover Jr., 37 and John Mark Fumar, 35, all residents of Bgy. Commonwealth were arrested in another buy-bust at about 11:30 p.m. of January 12, 2021, along Fairlane St., Bgy. Greater Fairview. Confiscated were four grams of shabu valued at P27,200, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with Violation of R.A. 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002“.
