P.8M seized, call center agent nabbed in QC sting

AUTHORITIES arrested a call center agent and his cohort and confiscated about P800,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves during a buy bust Thursday night in Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P Macerin said Jericho Rivera, 24, call center agent, and a resident of San Juan City, and Leo Bermudez, 25, resident of Bgy. Sta. Lucia, Quezon City were arrested at about 10:45 pm on February 25, 2021, on 29, Diego Silang St., Bgy. Sta. Lucia, Quezon City.

The suspects were nabbed after allegedly selling P23,000 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Seized were six kilograms of marijuana valued at P780,000, five grams of “Kush” valued at P7,500, the buy-bust money, a weighing scale, and a cellular phone.

The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Macerin commended the PS11 operatives for their accomplishments. He also encouraged the public to continue reporting illegal activities to QCPD or nearest police station.
