P1.3M shabu seized from ex-soldier

AUTHORITIES seized more than P1.3 million worth of shabu from a former military man in a buy-bust operation Tuesday evening in Makati City.

Makati police chief P/Col. Harold Depositar identified the arrested suspect as retired Marine officer Rufino Advincula, Jr. alias “Yubert” 53 of No. 123 Block 5 Avocado St. Bgy. West Rembo.

In his report to Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Eliseo Cruz, Depositar said elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Lt. Angelo Mendoza arrested Advincula after he handed a pack of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchanged for P50,000 marked money in front of his house at around 6:15 in the evening.

Case investigator P/Cpl. Francisco Dela Cruz, Jr. said operatives seized from the suspect a red pouch containing 200 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P1,360,000.00 and the buy-bust money consisting of two P1,000 genuine bill and 48 pieces of boodle money.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/MGen. Vicente Danao, Jr. commended the Makati City Police SDEU for their successful drug operation and arrest of the suspect.

“With the support of other law enforcement agencies and the public, we will intensify our anti-illegal drug campaign to accomplish more gains to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.” Danao stressed.
