P15K booking orders, sex toys delivered to vlogger

A FEMALE vlogger was sent about P15,000 “fake booking” orders that included sex toys to her home in Sampaloc, Manila, the other day.

The victim, identified as Rosmar Tan, lodged a formal complaint at the Manila Police District (MPD) saying orders consisting of various kinds of food like chicken, pizza and shawarma, milk tea and even sex toys were delivered to her residence on Thursday.

She said that the first to arrive were food and milk tea. When she denied having ordered them, the rider got upset so that she just agreed to pay for them.

However, after several minutes, she said other delivery riders began arriving one by one with various items.

One of the delivery riders, she said, texted the number that placed the order. The rider received a reply, directing the driver to tell Tan to give P5,000 to put a stop to the fake bookings.

“Bigla pong may nagpa-pop up sa G-mail ko, meron daw po akong order, G-mail ko po talaga, ibig sabihin parang sa akin po talaga siya naka-address, pati address ko, two-door refrigerator worth nasa P4,000. Eh grabe naman,” Tan said.

MPD Director PBGen. Leo Francisco warned those behind the fake bookings that they may face up to six months of imprisonment.

Francisco referred Tan to the PNP’s Anti-Cybercrime Division to track those who are behind the fake bookings and hold them liable under the law.
