SIX inbound parcels containing assorted illegal drugs amounting to P25, 458, 900 were intercepted by the Bureau of Customs in a warehouse at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA).
Reportedly, the Customs NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) seized the parcels containing 68 ml of marijuana oil with an estimated value of P3,400, 966 grams of marijuana candies, 50 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or better known as shabu worth P340,000, 11,988 grams of marijuana kush valued at P16, 783, 200 and 4,897 tablets of ecstasy valued at P8, 324,900.
Part of the six parcels were one white box containing white plastic pouch with X and shipped by a certain John Williams from Australia consigned to Kage Jonathan Tobias containing 50 grams of shabu. Another white box shipped by Teodora Mendoza of Adair St. US and consigned to a certain Lily Dy Tan of Banawe Street in Manila containing eight bottles of several gummies.
A parcel from Los Angeles, California was sent to Roger Bonaventura of Mandaluyong City sent by a certain Sarah Johnson of Los Angeles containing 8 transparent plastic bags each containing dried marijuana leaves with a gross weight of more or less 3,980 grams.
One large box shipped by Helen Grace Ovedo of Los Angeles, California consigned to Roger Bonaventura of 2505 Barangay Highland Hills, Mandaluyong City containing 4 vacuum sealed transparent plastic containing dried leaves suspected to be kush.
Lastly, one parcel from France declared as “Lady’s jeans, shoe, slipper, lads up and down, towels and handbags shipped by a certain VanKoni Murie of France and consigned to Kwakye Akwasie Kingley of Pagsolingan Street, San Carlos Pangasinan containing 4,897 colored tablets suspected to be ecstasy placed in a plastic pouch wrapped heavily with duct tape.
Said illegal drugs have been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for proper disposal and the filing of cases against the importers and recipients involved.
