BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Operatives of Bacoor City Police apprehended high value targets and recovered more than P3.7 million worth of shabu in separate operations in Bacoor City, August 27.
A team led by Police Major Dhefry Punzalan, Chief of Bacoor’s Drug Enforcement Team (DET) under Police Lt. Colonel Christopher Guste, local police chief conducted a buy bust operation in Andrea Subd, Bgy. Panapaan 5, Bacoor City, Cavite and arrested Jovie Nario, 27, single, jobless, a graduate of BS Criminology, and a resident of Tabing Dagat, Bgy. Maliksi 3; Bayan Saricol, 33,married, jobless, a native of Sultan Kudarat and a resident of Maharlika Village Taguig City; and Martin Galang, 30, single, courier, and a resident of Brgy Panapaan 5.
Recovered from the suspects were plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing around 500 grams with an estimate value of P3, 400, 000, a P1,000 bill and the buy bust money.
Authorities also impounded a gray Mitsubishi Mirage.
Nabbed in the buy-bust in Bgy. Panapaan 1, Bacoor City, which resulted in the arrest of Norman Torrijos, 40, single, jobless; and Roshelle Sioco y Porras, 25, single, jobless, both residents of Bgy. Panapaan 1.
Operatives confiscated four heat-sealed small plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams with an estimated street value of P340,000, buy bust money, a digital weighing scale, three improvised glass pipes, and two used foil strips containing suspected shabu residue.
The confiscated illegal drugs has a total aggregate estimated weight of more or less 550 grams with estimates value of P3,740,000. These were turned over to the Cavite Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of Bacoor City Police and facing charges for Violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 under Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
