P435-K shabu seized in Mabalacat City

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — More than P400,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized from two alleged drug peddlers during separate buy-busts last January 20 in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

In his report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, Pampanga top cop Col. Arnold Ibay said operatives of the Mabalacat City Police under the direct supervision of Lt. Col. Rossel Cejas conducted a buy-bust along Saguin St., Dau Checkpoint, Bgy. Dau resulting to the arrest of Regie Manarang, 30.

The suspect, who is listed in the Data Base of Illegal Drug Personalities, is a construction worker, a Sputnik member and resident of Bgy. Dau.

Confiscated from Manarang were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately four grams with an estimated street value of P27,200.

During his arrest, Manarang revealed to the operating team his cohort prompting authorities to conduct a follow-up operation near the PLDT Tower in Bgy. Camachiles, Mabalacat City.

Arrested was Aldrin De Leon alias Bryt, 30, also listed in the Data Base of Illegal Drug Personalities, jobless, also a Spuntik member, and resident of Bgy. Dau.

Seized from De Leon were four pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate weight of 60 grams and estimated street value of P408,000.

The PRO3 director lauded the operating troops for a job well done and further said that the police are continuously maximizing their efforts to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs and prevent the destruction of many lives.
