P6.8M shabu seized from HVT in Caloocan

AROUND P6.8 million worth of shabu was seized by authorities from a high-value drug target during a drug sting Tuesday before dawn in Caloocan city.

Joint elements of the Caloocan Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) led by P/Maj. Deo Cabildo, National Capital Region Police Office Regional Mobile Force Battalion (NCRPO-RMFB) and PDEA Northern District Office apprehended Masod Hadji Karim alias “Bossing”, 39, of Riverside, Phase 12, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina, Jr., who supervised the operation, said Karim was nabbed after selling shabu worth P50,000 to P/Cpl. Noel Sison who acted as poseur-buyer at around 4:40 a.m. inside his unnumbered house on Riverside, Bgy. 188 Tala.

Authorities seized from the suspect a kilo of shabu worth P6,800,000, the marked money consisting of two pieces of P1,000 genuine bills and 48 pieces of boodle money.

Karim was presented for inquest proceedings before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for selling and possession of drugs under R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
