MANILA Police District (MPD) operatives arrested a caretaker at the Manila North Cemetery (MNC) said to be also engaged in illegal drug pushing activities during a buy-bust in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
PLt.Col John Guiagui, MPD-Police Station 3 commander, identified the arrested suspect as Ricardo Castell, alias Ricky, 40, said to be a member of the Sputnik Gang and resident of 1st St., Manila North Cemetery in Sta. Cruz.
Guiagui said the operation was carried at around 9 a.m. yesterday by a team led by P/ Cpt.Pidencio Saballo of the Station Anti- Illegal Drug Enforcement unit.
Once the poseur-buyer handed the P500 marked money, the suspect was arrested.
Confiscated from Castell were four sachets containing shabu worth P61,200.
Police said the suspect will be charged before the Manila Prosecutors’ Office with violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
