P7.7-M illegal drugs seized at CMEC in Pasay

NEARLY P8 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from three abandoned parcels by the Bureau of Customs and the NAIA PDEA-IADITG at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) on domestic road, Pasay City.

First to have been intercepted by customs examiners was a parcel declared as ‘COLLECTIBLE CAMERA FILM ROLL’ sent by ABH Studios from USA and consigned to one Eliazar Nace of Cebu City. It contained 96 boxes of cartridge marijuana oil with a standard drug price of P5,760.

The second parcel declared as ‘WOMEN’S T-SHIRT’ sent by one Linda Kim from USA and consigned to a certain Julies Rivera of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental meantime, yielded a plastic bag containing marijuana (kush) weighing 468 grams and with a standard drug value of P655,200.

The third parcel, declared as ‘cloths & dener stone” sent from Pakistan and consigned to one Erin Jane De Asis of Naga City, Camarines Sur, contained 957 grams of supsected shabu with a standard drug value of P6,507,600.

The seized drugs are worth a total of P7,738,800 and have been turned over to the Customs-NAIA and PDEA-IADITG for proper disposition and further investigation.
