MINALIN, Pampanga – Police confiscated some P800,000 worth of shabu from four arrested suspects during a buy-bust in Barangay Santo Domingo yesterday morning.
Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay, Pampanga police director, identified the arrested suspects as Richard Dacanay, 27; Arlene Antonell, 30; Frederick Navarro, 45; and Agnes Cruz, 44.
Eight sachets containing suspected shabu, including the product of the buy-bust, with a total weight of more or less 119.78 grams and estimated market value of P814,504 were seized from the suspects.
Also recovered from the suspects were the P1,000 marked bill and nine pieces boodle money used in the operation.
Charges for violation of Sec. 5 and 11 of Art II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing in court as of press time.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon lauded the operating troops and vowed to continue similar operations against illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, police arrested a 54- year old man wanted for sexually abusing a minor in Barangay Duquit, Mabalacat City, also yesterday.
Lt. Col. Rosell Cejas, acting Mabalacat City police chief, said that suspect Bernabe Anunciacion was arrested by virtue of an alias warrant of arrest issued by Judge Irineo Pangilinan Jr. of Angeles City RTC Branch 58 for violation of RA 8353 under CC# R-ANG-17-01697-CR with no bail recommended.
