FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced on Sunday (November 17, 2024) that it has cancelled 67 domestic and 18 international flights due to Super Typhoon Pepito (international name Man-Yi).

According to PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna, cancellation is a developing situation, as she advised passengers to regularly check the status of their flight by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com and visiting the Flight Status section (Flight status), or checking further advisories on PAL’s Official PAL Facebook page.

“We advise you not to proceed to the airport if your flight is cancelled, but instead avail of the rebooking options,” she said.

Villaluna said that passengers who area affected by cancellation may opt to: convert their tickets to non-expiring Travel Credits equivalent to the unused segment of the ticket, excluding Ticketing Service Charge; rebook or Reroute their tickets to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class or refund tickets without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge for partially used tickets.

“One may access the online self-reaccommodation tool for flight rebooking. Simply click the Manage Tab, then select the Flight Disruption button in our homepage at www.philippineairlines.com. If your contact details are in our reservations records, you will be informed of the status of your flights via e-mail, telephone call or SMS/text,” Villaluna said.
