PAL is Asia-Pacific’s most punctual airline for 2025

FOR achieving an on-time arrival performance of 83.12%, the highest in the region, the country’s flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been named Asia-Pacific’s most on-time airline for 2025.

It was learned that the ranking is based on independently verified data from global aviation analytics firm Cirium and PAL’s performance distinguished the flag carrier for its consistency in one of the world’s most operationally demanding aviation environments, where airlines routinely contend with weather disruptions, air traffic congestion, and constrained airport infrastructure.

Now on its 17th year, Cirium’s On-Time Performance program is widely regarded as the industry benchmark for airline reliability, tracking millions of flights worldwide using transparent and objective methodologies.

In a statement, PAL emphasized that punctuality remains a core commitment to its passengers, made possible through close coordination across flight operations, engineering, airport services, ground handling, and all customer-facing and corporate support teams.

“This achievement reflects the discipline, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire organization, particularly our frontline teams who operate our flights safely and reliably every day,” said Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc.

He added: “It also reflects what can be achieved through strong collaboration with our private sector partners, including MacroAsia Corporation, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation, Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., and LIPAD Corp, as well as the continued support of our government partners.”

PAL said the recognition comes as Asia-Pacific carriers continue to navigate capacity pressures and complex operational challenges.
