PAL launches new selling platform

PAL launch of NDC
The PAL team gathers to celebrate the successful launch of NDC

A new, dynamic booking and selling platform through integration with the New Distribution Capability (NDC) powered by Amadeus, was launched by flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL).

NDC transforms the way PAL engages with travel partners and customers by enabling direct access to passenger preferences — from flight schedules and seat selections to in-flight meals and other ancillary services, said PAL spokesperson Ma. Cielo Villaluna, adding that the initiative brings greater personalization, transparency, and efficiency to the travel experience.

“We are excited to pioneer this modern distribution solution in the country,” said Justin Warby, PAL Vice President for Sales and Distribution. “This undertaking is in line with PAL’s commitment to modernize distribution methods and deliver benefits for distribution partners and customers.”

He said through NDC, partners will be able to offer competitive, personalized ancillary products including seat selection, prepaid baggage, and meal options.

Partners can connect to PAL’s NDC platform via three channels: Connect API – for seamless integration with existing travel agency ticketing solutions; Connect Hub – a ready-to-use travel agency portal and Connect + – access NDC content via aggregator platform.

The rollout will begin in key markets including the United States, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

NDC will be implemented alongside the existing Global Distribution System (GDS), ensuring a seamless transition for PAL’s global network of partners and customers.

Villaluna said PAL joins over 60 leading global airlines already adopting the NDC standard, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and superior customer experience.
