Pampanga drug den smashed, 5 arrested

A SUSPECTED drug den in Central Luzon was smashed by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency following a buy-bust in Mabalacat, Pampanga last Sunday, PDEA chair, Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva announced yesterday.

The official said the raid at the suspected drug dive in Villa Benito in Madapdap Resettlement led to the arrest of Mario Panganiban, Edwin Lampa, Melvin Montaray and siblings Anna Lorraine and Anna Marie Torno.

Villanueva said members of the PDEA Regional Office 3 headed by Director Christian Frivaldo recovered five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000 and the boodle money topped by three marked P100 bills during the operation.

The suspects were brought to the PDEA Region 3 lock-up facility in San Fernando City on charges of illegal possession and sale of prohibited dugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
