Parañaque creates ‘Task Force Ayuda’

PARANAQUE City Mayor Edwin Olivarez has created a task force to supervise the distribution of financial aid to its residents, city’s business permit and license chief lawyer Melanie Malaya announced on Thursday.

Malaya said the “Task Force Ayuda” will be led by mayor himself as chairperson and City Administrator Fernado “Ding” Soriano as Vice Chairperson.

Olivarez said that the city government have received the budget from the national government on Monday which is a total of P604 million.

Malaya said the task force will be composed of a Grievance and Appeals Committee with a city and barangay team; Joint Monitoring and Inspection Committee; Posting and Reporting team; Data Processing and Information Technology team; and Secretariat.

Malaya said that priority target beneficiaries are low-income individuals and those working in informal economies affected by the implementation of the ECQ.

She said that more than 151,000 families in the city will benefit from the cash aid worth P1,000 per individual and not more than P4,000 per family affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region-plus (NCR-plus).

The local government used the existing databases from last year’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) 1,2, and waitlisted, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), and TODA/PODA list to identify beneficiaries per barangay in around 155,000 households in the city.

On the other hand, barangays shall identify individuals qualified to receive the financial assistance from the list provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Malaya added that the local government will also post the schedule of the payout per batch on the public information office FB account every day.
