Cagayan de Oro City, October 26, 2024 — Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory, led by JSUPT MARLON J YMBALLA, DSC, actively participated in the 24th “Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo” program, an initiative spearheaded by Hon. Mayor Rolando “Klarex” A. Uy. This flagship program aims to deliver essential government services directly to the community, fostering trust and confidence in local governance.
The event was held at Lumbia Elementary School in Lumbia, CDOC. During the program, jail officers from CDOCJ-MD distributed ELCAC leaflets, addressed inquiries regarding available services, and offered various support initiatives for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). Services provided included the application process for Jail Visitation IDs and food distribution to the residents.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology emphasizes that its mission extends beyond the welfare of PDL; it also prioritizes community engagement and support. Through initiatives like “Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo,” the bureau reinforces its commitment to serving the public and building stronger connections with the community.
