Councilor Ian Pineda-Vendivel of Pasay City took his oath of office before Regional Trial Court Judge Hon. Remiebel U. Mondia also of Pasay City.

He was joined by his wife Councilor Donna Vendivel, daughter Ingrid Joy and son Brian Don as he took his oath at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church in Villamor.

After that, he held his oath-taking reception at the Golden Bay Restaurant on Macapagal Avenue, where he announced that he will continue his mission to serve and uplift his fellow Pasayeños.

The newly-elected Pasay Councilor said his journey reflects a lifetime of leadership, unwavering dedication and making a lasting impact on his community thru ‘servant leadership’ and dedication to God and country.

A former Pasay City Councilor who sought a fresh mandate for the same office, he expressed continued commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.

Vendivel built an illustrious career in pharmaceutical marketing, culminating in his role as Vice-President and Marketing Director of Astellas Pharma Phils. Inc. He was set to assume the presidency of the company in 2008 when his heart was drawn to public service, a calling he had nurtured since the age of 16 when he became Kabataang Barangay Chairman of Barangay 108, Zone 12. His leadership journey continued as he was elected 1st Kagawad and later served as Barangay Captain.

Despite proddings to choose corporate leadership, Vendivel prioritized his duty to Pasayeños, opting to serve as a Pasay City Councilor instead of pursuing a higher corporate role. His decision reflected a deep commitment to his community, which has honored him with multiple electoral victories.

He also actively participates in socio-civic organizations. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo and currently the Secretary of the Board of the Philippine National Red Cross (Pasay Chapter).
