THE Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announces the suspension of the games in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena in Angeles, Pampanga.

In a statement, the PBA said that it has temporarily suspended the games to comply with the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to postpone games until the latest protocols have been laid out.

In compliance with the recommendation of the IATF-EID Technical Working Group and the DOH Advisory Group of Experts and to ensure the integrity and safety of the PBA bubble, the league is postponing the games starting today (Oct. 30) until the new protocols proposed by the IATF and DOH are out in place,’ the PBA said on its social media accounts.

The PBA would like to thank the IATF, DOH and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for their continuous support and guidance.

NorthPort and Magnolia were scheduled to play at 4 p.m, while the San Miguel-Barangay Ginebra was supposed to follow at 6:45 p.m. Friday.
