Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian joins President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in bringing holiday cheer and sharing light banter with beneficiaries of the Walang Gutom Kitchen (WGK) and the Pag-abot Program on Wednesday (December 17) at the WGK in Pasay City.
The President and the DSWD chief served meals at the WGK and personally distributed gift boxes to the beneficiaries, spreading holiday joy among families and individuals experiencing hunger. They also checked on and interacted with Pag-Abot clients staying temporarily at the processing center.
Earlier this afternoon, Secretary Gatchalian led the blessing of the Pag-Abot Processing Center, located in the same facility as the kitchen, which was a former POGO hub.
Joining the activity are Undersecretary Edu Punay of the Innovations and Programs Development Group (IPDG); Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez of the Operations Group; Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao of the Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG); and Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano. (YADP)
