PBBM, DSWD chief join college students, learners, parents in celebrating gains of Tara, Basa!

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian share light moments with college student-tutors and Youth Development Workers (YDWs), elementary learners and their parents, during the National Culminating Activity of the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program on Monday (September 15) at the University of Makati.

The event highlighted the partnership between the government, students, parents, and children in advancing literacy and strengthening family ties.

Secretary Gatchalian thanked the beneficiaries for their commitment, while President Marcos expressed his full support for the program’s continued expansion.

The culminating activity showcased stories of children who improved their reading skills, parents who became more involved in their children’s learning, and college students who discovered the value of service through the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program. (YADP)
