As a proactive step toward digital transformation, state deposit insurer Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) has set in motion the modernization of its services through its e-Portal Project aimed at building a more responsive and future-ready organization.

The strategic initiative is designed as a one-stop shop to integrate the Corporation’s data systems and service processes into a secure, user-friendly, web-based platform for all stakeholders. It will also enhance the PDIC website to make it more responsive and intuitive to optimize user experience.

The online platform will likewise support efficient fund transfers and paperless payments through seamless integration of a third-party e-payment channel, strengthen communication through an engaging artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, and ensure scalability for future needs, including embedding mobile functionality into the design. This improved accessibility ensures that stakeholders can conveniently access PDIC’s services without the need to visit the PDIC Public Assistance Center in person. The Project is targeted to be launched in 2026.

Anchored on operational efficiency, transparency, and better public service, the PDIC e-Portal Project reinforces the Corporation’s commitment to digital governance, while aligning with the government’s Cloud First Policy in fulfilling its mandate to protect depositors and promote financial stability.

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) was established on 22 June 1963 by Republic Act 3591 to protect depositors and help maintain stability in the financial system.

The PDIC is an attached agency to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and a member of the Financial Sector Forum, the Financial Stability Coordination Council, and the Financial Inclusion Steering Committee.
