PFL, GAB conduct inspection

THE Philippines Football League and the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) on Thursday conducted an inspection of Kaya-Iloilo FC’s training venue at the Blue Pitch in Circuit, Makati.

The inspection was part of the careful process for the return to training of PFL clubs.

As we look forward to the start of another football season, it is imperative that our clubs are able to prepare for competition,” said PFL commissioner Coco Torre in the league website.

Next week, the PFL and GAB are also scheduled to conduct an inspection of the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite, where the country’s professional football league held its tournament in a bubble won by United City FC last year.

The inspection of Kaya-Iloilo FC’s training venue was conducted to determine that the Blue Pitch has implemented its own health and safety protocols and abides by the guidelines set in the Joint Administrative Order for the safe resumption of the PFL clubs’ training sessions.

“We look for a favorable approval from the Games and Amusements Board led by Chairman Abraham Mitra for the resumption of training sessions,” said Torre.

Once cleared by GAB, the next step for Kaya-Iloilo FC is to seek permission from the local government unit for the permission to practice.

If the club get the go-signal from the Makati LGU, GAB will verify it so that Kaya-Iloilo FC can begin to train for the new PFL season.
