The Philippine Padel Association (PPA) has once again made history with the successful hosting of FIP Promises Manila, the first official FIP Junior Circuit event in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Held on March 29–30, 2025, at Arcovia Padel Club, this groundbreaking tournament marks a powerful step forward in PPA’s long-term mission to develop padel at the grassroots level and elevate Filipino athletes to international stages.
As part of the FIP Promises Junior Circuit by the International Padel Federation (FIP), this event welcomed 21 junior teams competing across six categories. Young Filipino athletes were joined by players from Thailand, France, Russia, and Korea, making the tournament not only a national milestone but also a true international gathering of emerging talent. The competition gave young athletes the rare opportunity to earn official FIP international junior rankings—a milestone moment that signals the Philippines’ growing presence in the global padel community.
A Vision Taking Shape
“This event is more than a tournament—it’s a dream in motion,” said PPA President and Founder, Alenna Dawn Magpantay. “By creating international pathways for our juniors, we are building a future where Filipino padel players will not only compete—but thrive—on the world stage. FIP Promises Manila is a landmark event in the history of padel in Southeast Asia. This is a bold statement of our commitment to youth, to excellence, and to the unstoppable rise of padel in the Philippines.”
Championing the Next Generation
Over the weekend, players competed under official FIP match rules: best of 3 sets with golden point, with a super tiebreak to 10 points in case of a 1-set all. The young athletes displayed incredible discipline, endurance, and heart—some competing in up to three matches a day across multiple age categories.

From powerful rallies to emotional wins, the courts at Manila Padel Club were filled with moments that reflect the spirit of youth and the boundless potential of the sport.
