AFTER being off the air for almost eight months because of the community quarantine, ‘Pop Talk,’ the ‘paboritong review show ng bayan,’ returns with its batch of all-new episodes beginning this Saturday (November 14) on GMA News TV.

Join Tonipet Gaba as he explores how dining has evolved in the ‘new normal.’

First, restaurants are slowly opening its doors to ‘dine-in’ customers under the strict health and safety protocols of the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) like limited seating capacity because of physical distancing.

Secondly, ‘food delivery’ has become really popular during the new normal—where you can order and have food delivered via the restaurant’s phone number, website, social media pages, or thru delivery apps.

Through these two means of ‘dining in the new normal’, ‘Pop Talk’ reviews three restaurants found in the Scout Area vicinity in Quezon City from a designated review hub and via Zoom video conferencing.

Up for review are the Filipino and Asian cuisines of Pandan Asian Café, the Spanish restaurant Ponce, and the homey restaurant and bar Delgado 112. Joining host Tonipet are celebrity reviewer Kapuso actress Bianca Umali and food consultant, food stylist and owner of her own brand of spreads and other deli products Chef Mira Angeles.

Are these restos new normal-ready? Which ones deserve a Pop Talk “pop” or “flop”?

Catch ‘Pop Talk: Scout Area Restos’ this coming Saturday (November 14) on Pop Talk’s new timeslot at 6:15 pm on GMA News TV.
