Authorities from the Minor Basilica and Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño de Tondo and the Sto. Niño de Pandacan Parish announced that all preparations for the celebration of the Feast of Señor Santo Niño on January 18, 2026 are all set.

It was learned that the preparations include the holding of 33 masses on the feast day itself while the Lakbay-Aral Festival 2026 in Tondo, Manila will be held on Saturday at 7 a.m.

The Manila Police District (MPD) said it will be deploying a sufficient volume of personnel to keep the peace as thousands of devotees are also expected to attend the event.

Yesterday, the procession of the replicas of the Señor Sto. Niño was already held in Manila, with their owners either carrying their Sto. Nino or having them on ‘carosas’ or carriages.

It is said that the oldest image of the Sto. Niño in the country is the Señor Santo Niño de Tondo which was brought by Agustinian priests in 1572.

The celebration of the Feast of Señor Sto. Niño follows the recently-concluded Feast of the Black Nazarene of the Minor Basilica and the National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno on January 9, 2026 which was attended by millions of devotees.
