QCPD nabs gunsmith for shabu, grenade

A GUNSMITH was arrested by the police after his son filed a complaint against him for gun totting.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, PBGEN Ronnie S Montejo identified the suspect as Felix Antipolo, 53, resident of Bgy. Bagong Silangan.

Antipolo was reportedly arrested by Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLTCOL Romulus Gadaoni based on the complaint of his son.

The complainant said his father poked a handgun at him at about 10 p.m. on September 1, 2020.

Police operatives conducted a follow up operation and saw Antipolo with a gun tucked in his waist.

Antipolo reportedly failed to show documents of the firearm, that resulted to his arrest.

When frisked, he yielded two sachets of shabu in his right pocket valued at P13,600.

Antipolo also yielded an improvised caliber.22 revolver with six ammunition, a hand grenade, 30 ammunition, unlicensed caliber .22 revolver, four improvised handguns, three improvised magazines, three improvised gun barrel and three gun parts.

The suspect will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” and RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Law of Firearms and Ammunition.
