Qualified theft suspect seeks police clearance, held

A MAN who has a pending qualified theft case was arrested while obtaining his police clearance in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P Macerin, said Rodrigo Banuelos, 34, and resident of 12 Panganiban St., Brgy. St. Lucia, Quezon City, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest served by personnel of Fairview Police Station (PS 5) on April 13, 2021 at the PS 5 Police Clearance Section, Pearl St., Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City.

Police said Banuelos name was “hit” in the clearance system and was found out to have a standing warrant of arrest for qualified theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 1081-V-18 issued by Judge Arthur B Melicor, the Presiding Judge of Branch 284, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Valenzuela City.
