Gov. Dodo Mandanas congratulates a retired barangay official who had received cash incentives.

AT LEAST 160 retired barangay officials or barangay functionaries received cash incentives from the Batangas provincial government in connection with its Provincial Service Incentive (PSI) project last on April 7 and 8, 2021 at the city capitol.

The PSI, provided by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 5-2017, is a form of gratitude by the provincial government, in accordance with the instruction of Gov. Dodo Mandanas, to barangay workers who voluntarily serve and offer their time and services for their communities. Aside from the financial incentive, Certificates of Recognition were also given to the local public servants.

The Provincial Assistance for Community Development Office (PACD), headed by Fredesvinda Mendoza spearheaded the distribution of PSI, with a total value of nearly ₱900 million. The PACD also supervised the assessment of qualified barangay officials from various barangays in the province.
